Judge Napolitano's best work yet, imho. This is the 3rd book of his that I've read and they keep getting better.[A Nation of Sheep]
This one is under 300 pages and reads quickly. Napolitano excoriates the feds for their repeated abuses of the Constitution. The Bush administration in particular is rightly singled out as well. The so-called PATRIOT Act and its National Security Letters should make everyone sit up and take notice.
(Check out this great review and commentary from Dr. Thomas DiLorenzo)
The reasoning is sound, clear, and well-explained. If you have any interest in (or concerns about) liberty or the Constitution grab a copy of the book. The judge also includes a copy of the Constitution and all Amendments at the end of the book. That alone might make it a great gift for your Senators and Representatives.
According to Wikipedia, the Judge is a pro-life Libertarian. He is also a vocal supporter of Ron Paul. That's good enough for me.
Judge Andrew Napolitano: The Constitution in Exile: "In A NATION OF SHEEP, Judge Andrew P. Napolitano frankly discusses how the federal government has circumvented the Constitution and is systematically dismantling the rights and freedoms that are the foundation of American democracy. He challenges Americans to recognize that they are being led down a very dangerous path and that the cost of following without challenge is the loss of the basic freedoms that facilitate our pursuit of happiness and that define us as a nation."
