I really like the look of several of these (Wolverine 1000 Mile Shoes/Boots). This blucher shoe (the Linden) looks decent, too. I could also see myself wearing the Winston. (pic via Wolverine)
Take a look around the site, several of the boots look really sharp. Looking forward to them becoming available.
Wolverine Heritage Collection - A Continuous Lean: "Maybe there is hope for classic American brands. Wolverine, the 125 year old boot maker, is launching a heritage collection this coming fall with a selection of boots made right in one of Wolverine’s U.S. factories. After looking through the collection, I have to say I am really impressed with the results. The boots are made from beautiful leather, have good detailing and are in classic shapes. I love it when a company keeps it simple and falls back on its roots for inspiration. Wolverine is on the right track with this new line and I look forward to adding a pair to my wardrobe."
From the press release:
The Collection - Wolverine 1000 Mile News and Events - News: "Welcome to the Wolverine 1,000 Mile Collection! This new line of footwear has been inspired by Wolverine’s more than 125 years of making finely crafted comfortable boots and shoes. As you can see from our history, the 1,000 Mile Boot was originally made in the early 1900’s and was the boot that was lauded as giving you “1,000 Miles of wear”, this boot changed the Wolverine brand and made us into what its know for today – beautifully crafted, comfortable and durable footwear that is timelessly fashionable. The collection will be made available to consumers in fall 2009, and will be seen not only in the US, but also in Europe and Asia."
